Version states
| State | Description | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Work in progress, not used in production | Development and testing |
| Active | Current production version | Live message sending |
| Inactive | Previous versions, archived | History and rollback |
Creating versions
New version from current
- Make changes to your template in the builder
- Click Save as New Version
- A new version is created in Draft state
- The current Active version stays live until you activate the new one
From version history
- Open the template and go to Version History
- Click Create New Version
- A new draft is created from the current active version
Managing versions
View version history
- Open the template
- Click Version History
- See all versions with number, state, and timestamp
Activate a version
- In Version History, select a Draft version
- Click Activate
- That version becomes Active; the previous active becomes Inactive
Roll back
To roll back: open Version History, select the Inactive version you want to restore, and Activate it. It becomes Active again; the current Active becomes Inactive.Best practices
- Use drafts for all experimental changes
- Activate only after testing (e.g. send to a test channel)
- Use version history to compare and audit changes
